Paganism is a polytheistic religion, it believes in many gods and goddesses. Most Wiccans believe there is one source of energy or force that runs the universe. It is divided into the Lord and Lady but they are one. Believing in gods and goddesses help provide power and unity within them, it helps them become more and more connected with nature. There is also the ancient concept, which is the trinity. The trinity means that three make one. There is something similar to that in Christianity, The Father, The Son and The Holy spirit. Before you pick your god or goddess you must research them and learn their whole story, and sometimes you don’t pick them, they pick you. They say that each of them have their own energy pattern and you choose the one that suits you best.

Pagan history
Paganism is a prehistoric religion but also postmodern one. It is associated with gods and goddesses from ten thousand years ago but develops modernly throughout the 20th century. Paganism has two key characteristics: religious and spiritual practices that concern the worship and devotion of earth and nature. Also, the belief in spiritual beings such as gods and nature spirits like fairies, wolves and other mythical creatures. Although those are the characteristics of paganism, some people take this in an unusual way; they can worship earth and nature without worshipping the gods and spiritual beings. Most gods that are worshipped by pagans are highly respective of nature and most of their rituals revolve around it
Evidence
It is also known as the religion of nature due to the strong ties with earth. There is some archeological evidence that suggests the existence of the magical and religious practices of paganism. There was an ornately decorated silver cauldron, found near Gundestrup, Denmark and believed to have magical and natural symbolism. There are also many myths from around the world that include stories of gods and goddesses with solid ties to the natural world, like Gaia or Rhea. Many gods were associated with elements of nature like Zeus the Greek god of thunder and the sky, Poseidon, the god of sea and Demeter, the god of harvest.
Witchcraft????
Witchcraft is the modern name given for ancient traditions leading back to pre roman times in Europe. It is based on a relationship with nature. Phases of the moon are linked to the women’s period and also festivals that are celebrated within the circle. The word witch is believed to come from the word “Wicca”(it means to bend or shape). Witches were seen as bending or shaping energy. They have a powerful tie with nature that increases the power of their magic.
Witches practice diverse kinds of divination, altered states of consciousness or trances, magic spells and incantations and special rites for seasonal holy days. There are two kinds of beliefs, pantheism and Panentheism. Pantheism is the belief of god is everything, everything is god, god is impersonal and since you are something, you too are god. Panentheism on the other hand is the belief of the world is IN god, there is more to god than world and god is both personal and impersonal. Those are the major things about pantheism and Panentheism. They are very different but both believe in the major principles of Paganism.
